Stop Motion - Claymation

Firstly spot motion is where you take many pictures which are the frames of your animation then you place them like a flip book and you have your short animation however with technology e.g. Photoshop and Affect Effects it's much more easy to do so examples of stop motion animation.

This Stop motion is made is the style of clay animation so using clay to form the characters and later for the movies had metal frames inside. Clay animation was used back in 1908 and each object was clay or plasticine. Normally a film runs at 24 frames a second therefore for most claymation they did 12 movements in a frame and taking two shots per change to give the smooth movement of the clay/plasticine.  There are other forms which can be complicated such as Strata-Cut animation

This type of claymation is where you cut way from the start similar to a rock stick (candy) or a loaf of beard but in this case a loaf of clay which you cut way and take pictures as you go along; now this to me seems like a art in it self  and people who have knowledge can do it!

Finally there is 'freeform' which looks fun because it's a informal way to make a claymation and has radical changes an example I think would be Morph from the show art attack

Death Battle

Death Battle is a show where they get pop culture's favourite characters to fight in a epic battle to the death.

Why have I chosen this because the animation which they do for each battle over the years they have got funding for better animation up to the point where they are using 'MAYA' which is what I'm using at the moment to create my lego man's adventure.

This is the death battle between Goku and Superman the most anticipated battle ever.
Sadly I'm dissappointed at who won but it's just for fun and the facts add up so... Meh
However what I got out of this is that if I work hard enough in maya and no doubt there is more maya work to come my animations could possibly look like the ones in this.

I really like the way they have made Goku in this and his textures and hopefully I can make this at some point.
